What a visitor needs before driving in each of the 41 spine countries: which side of the road, the national default urban, rural and motorway speed limits in the unit signed there (`speedUnit` km/h or mph, never converted), the blood-alcohol limit for ordinary drivers in g/100 ml (`bacNote` for novice and professional limits; 0 is a real zero-tolerance rule), equipment the law requires carried from a fixed vocabulary, and whether an International Driving Permit is needed (`idpRequired`, from GOV.UK's per-country table for a UK photocard licence; absent where that table is silent) — a hand-curated register with the authority's page and check date per row, added 13 Sep 2026; secondary-sourced entries are marked `confidence: "secondary"`. A limit not set nationally is ABSENT, never zero (Germany's motorways, US and Canadian limits). `country` for one entry, `countries` for a side-by-side; without either, ranks by `metric` (`speedMotorway` default, `speedUrban`, `speedRural`, `bacLimitPct`), highest first unless `sort=lowest`, optionally filtered by `drivesOn` and `idpRequired`; mph limits are ordered by their km/h equivalent for the sort only.
