Add and/or remove tags across up to 300 monitors in one call — the way to retag a whole fleet without one request per monitor. monitor_ids (array of 1 to 300 distinct monitor uuids, required; a repeated id is a 422) names the monitors; every one must belong to the organization: an unknown id rejects the whole request with a 404 naming every id it could not find. add and remove (arrays of up to 10 tags each, optional) apply as (current tags | add) - remove per monitor. A tag listed in both add and remove is rejected with a 422, not silently resolved — the two lists must be disjoint. At least one of add or remove is required. A monitor that would end up with more than 10 tags rejects the whole request (422); nothing is changed when any check fails. Returns monitors_updated. Tags are trimmed, lowercased and deduplicated on write, each at most 50 characters of lowercase letters, digits and : _ . / - , starting with a letter or digit. Call list_tags first to reuse the organization's existing names instead of inventing near-duplicates. Requires a key with the write scope.
