What should I study? For a person's own words — an interest, a subject or a job — or a job code (SOC), the majors that answer. Each major carries its plain definition (NCES verbatim), the award levels it is conferred at (IPEDS AWLEVEL, each completers flag in its own field and never summed), how many schools offer it nationally, the jobs it leads to through the federal CIP-SOC crosswalk, and its related majors — same series, same family, or sharing a named occupation. Words resolve through the KSA Dictionary, never by spelling match; words that match nothing are told so with the closest words the Dictionary holds. The count for a person's own state is stated not held: the per-school IPEDS rows are not in this publish.
