PAID ($0.018 USDC via x402). Search the scholarly literature: OpenAlex (~250M works across every discipline, including arXiv and PubMed; CC0 metadata), with Crossref answering when OpenAlex does not. Each paper comes with title, the first six authors and the author count, year and date, venue, type, DOI and link, citation count, a free full-text link when one is known, and the abstract (up to 1,200 characters). Filter by year range and open access; sort by relevance, most cited or newest — the citation and date sorts match title and abstract so the results stay on topic. No match answers 404 and is not charged. Titles and abstracts are the authors' text. Without payment this returns the 402 challenge; the fiatdock-mcp npm package pays automatically. Any answer the tool cannot produce is >= 400 and is NOT charged.
