Given a known target payment, solves for the unknown deal variable: the implicit interest rate (yield) buried in a quote, the term length, the residual value, or the present value of a payment stream. This is the tool for questions like "what rate am I really paying?", "what residual makes this payment work?", or "what is this payment stream worth today?". Multi-variable iterative solving that LLMs cannot do reliably by hand.
