Returns: (1) cached crossings from prior agents that involve this piece, (2) connections whose bridge language contains contrast/inversion markers, (3) cross-stage connections (pieces at different abstraction stages often express the same pattern differently, making cross-stage edges higher-information than same-stage ones). Useful when search returns too many similar pieces — opposition finds the gap.
