Returns corporate-insider non-derivative Form 4 transactions. With no identity filter, returns the global recent-filing feed; optionally filter by one stock or one insider. WHEN TO USE: User asks whether insiders are buying or selling a stock, or wants a specific executive's trades. Examples: - "Are insiders buying NVDA?" - "Did any executives sell Tesla recently?" - "Show recent open-market insider purchases" PARAMETERS: - ticker_or_cusip or insider_name: optional identity filter; provide at most one. Ticker collisions return candidates; use an exact CUSIP to disambiguate - direction: optional buy, sell, or other filter - trade_class: optional open_market, placement, grant_like, or other filter - filed_from / filed_to: optional inclusive SEC filing-date range (YYYY-MM-DD); filed_from must be on or before filed_to - limit / cursor: page size and opaque continuation cursor; an explicit limit above the caller's tier fails rather than being changed WHEN NOT TO USE: - Use analyze_stock for the synthesized smart-money verdict (which already folds insider activity in) - Use get_activist_stakes for 5%+ ownership stake filings RETURNS: Cursor-paginated non-derivative Form 4 records across common and non-common securities, with native transaction code, buy/sell/other direction, SEC acquisition/disposition, security title/class, every reporting owner, asserted role, and Other-role detail, plus shares and their reported/indeterminate status, price, value and its calculation/net-proceeds basis, determinate post-transaction ownership, amendment status, period of report, original-submission date, filing identifiers, and source link. Joint filings—including SEC accessions split only because they exceed EDGAR's reporting-person limit—appear once per economic transaction with all owners, so counts and values are not inflated. An incomplete split group fails visibly instead of returning partial owners. P/S common-equity transactions are the only codes used in conviction scoring. Stock filters include exact-CUSIP rows plus official issuer-ticker evidence not yet linked to a CUSIP; those rows return cusip null and data_status identifies the limitation. VERIFICATION: Cite record-level `source_url` filing or disclosure links when present.
